Received the M.Div. (Master in Divinity) degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and the Th.M. (Theological Master) and Th.D. (Theological Docterate) from Whitefield Theological Seminary, where he is now chairman of the dissertation review committee. He is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America and a prolific author.

Sorry for the difficult theological language which follows, but this note is necessary for insiders. If you are interested see what you can understand of the following: For the sake of the Kingdom Movement we need to note that Kenneth L. Gentry is part of what is named the Reconstruction Movement, they agree with the Kingdom Movement on Covenantal theologie and postmillennialism, but mostly consist of Reformed people that appreciate the theology of the Puritans. In doing that, they took these Covenantal and postmillennial positions, just like people who follow the Kingdom Movement in a complete and balanced way. But there are distinctions, such as that the Kingdom Movement choses either for an evangelical covenantal or a metechoistic covenantal position, while the Reconstructionist choses for Calvinistic Covenantal theology. In addition to that note that the Kingdom Movement is a part of what is called the Charismatic Movement and comes originally out of the Assemblies of God in 1947, and they became a distinctive movement in 1948. While the Reconstructionist are known for being non-Charismatic. In layman terms Charismatic Christians believe that the gifts of Holy Spirit are for today, while non-Charismatics hold that the gifts were for the apostolic age, a time period untill 455 according to Calvinists. While Kingdom Movement even beyond the Pentecostals and most Charismatics, denies the existence of a Non-apostolic age! ¹
